Kennedy's bomb beats Bearcats
Ouachita grabs second place in 2-5A
Senior Caleb Kennedy made Senior Night a memorable one
for himself and the Ouachita Lions baseball team.
Kennedy drilled a walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom
of the seventh inning Tuesday night to give Ouachita a 2-1 victory
over Ruston and clinch second place in District 2-5A.
The team surrounded home plate to congratulate Kennedy
after he sent the pitch over the left-field wall to end any hopes the
Bearcats had of taking second place away from the Lions (18-14
overall, 8-6 in 2-5A).
Thomas Hoag also had a big game for Ouachita. Hoag struck
out nine Bearcats on his way to the complete-game victory. He also
drove in the Lions' other run with an RBI single in the third inning that
scored Ryan Gebhardt.

ball.
